What's the best way to reduce swelling?

What is the best way to reduce swelling of cheeks after wisdom teeth extraction?? I look like a chipmunk!(no offense to chipmunks!)
Answer:
Use cold packs wrapped in towels. You can also eat popcicles and drink ice water which will not only help the swelling and pain, but increase your fluid intake which will help your body heal faster. You should also take any pain medication your dentist perscribed.
How cute..no offense to chipmunks.
I would suggest ice packs...and time dear.if it is a major problem, call your dentist.I hope you get better.and God bless you and chipmunks! ---Kimmie

Within the first 24 hours, use ice packs. After, use a heating pad or warm towel. Keep your head elevated while sleeping w/two pillows. And take the meds they give.
